Sometimes, when we watch an anime or anything at all, we get the vibe that we’ll never have the same experience, the same thrill ever again. That’s a common feeling most of us feel nowadays. However, to get the same experience, one would look for similar anime. Today’s choice is everyone’s favorites ‘Attack on Titan!’ We’ve gathered up a list, a top 12 of anime Similar to Attack on Titan!
12. Owari no Seraph
At the appearance of a virus that killed people above the age of 13, humanity became enslaved by mysterious, hidden, vicious vampires. Vampires, in order to save the remaining bits of humans, give them shelter in exchange of their blood.
One of these survivors are Yuuichirou and Mikaela Hyakuya. Both of them young and orphaned, along with their other so-called family of children. Once they all agree on the discontent of being captive by vampires, Mikaela and Yuuichirou come up with a plan to escape this cruel vampire Reign.
What they did not put into account is the difficulties they might encounter, and the deaths that just might bring damnation for Yuuichirou and Mikaela.
11. Tokyo Ghoul
The world is cruel and corrupted, and nobody can do anything about it. It’s no longer the usual homicides and kills anymore. What kills, in Tokyo nowadays, is the cruelty of ghouls, not any kind of cruelty though. These said ghouls eat human flesh in order to survive, but maybe they’re just overdoing it a bit.
That’s when the life of Kaneki Ken takes a left turn, a wrong turn and his crush turns into something much, much scarier than confessing his feelings. His crush’s kindness vanishes, and gets replaced by the cruel, sadistic side of her. Little did he know that Rize was just about to devour him whole, not leaving any bite unchewed.
10. Sidonia no Kishi
Aliens never have enough, just like humans, right? The alien race Gauna was not satisfied with just destroying the earth many, many years ago, as it hunts down the remnants of humanity step by step. Humans, at the time, escaped across the galaxy in plenty of giant seed ships.
Nagate Tanikaze, in 3394, resurfaces and shuts the door to his isolation to look for food. He’s looking for food beneath the seed ship Sidonia.
However, the poor guy finds himself in a rather unusual, alarming situation, one he has to fight for survival. The Gauna decide to attack the same ship, so it’s up to Tanikaze and his fellows to save humanity’s last hope.
9. Black Bullet
Once again, humanity faces another threat known as Gastrea. Gastrea, in the year of 2021, is a virus that infects humans, turning them into monsters. However, what is left of mankind now lives within Monolith walls, these walls are made of Varanium. Varanium plays the role of the mere material that can hurt Gastrea.
Despite all the misfortunes, there are the Cursed Children. All of them are females with a superhuman strength and abilities, but they have traces of the virus in them. The Tendo Civil Security calls them Initiators, and their partners are called Promoters.
That’s the case of Enju Aihara, an Initiator, and Satomi Rentaro, a Promoter.
8. Deadman Wonderland
All Ganta Igarashi and his classmates only prepared themselves for a field trip. Their destination was a certain prison amusement park called Deadman Wonderland. The name did not take this name just for fun, as it had convicts perform dangerous acts for viewers. Yet, Ganta’s life turned upside down once he and his classmates stepped foot in the amusement park. All his classmates are killed by a man in red. The only one left was Ganta, the guilt trip, and the framing they’ve done to him.
Thinking his salvation from this nightmare was done, he goes to jail, and is sentences to death. But, life has so much more up its sleeve this time. His nightmare was not even at its peak. In a cruel world of killing, sadists, and powers, he lives to save neck in the prison’s strange games.
The shape shifting demon, with a thirst for human flesh, known as Youma, arrives in Raki’s village to cause havoc. At the same time, a lone woman with silver eyes and a sword pressed upon her back arrives. This woman is a Claymore, half-human, half-youma, made for the purpose of eradicating these creatures.
Yet, she is too late to save Raki’s family, as they are all killed but him.
Then, Raki is banished from his homeland, so he seeks out help from the Claymore, known as Clare. He follows her through her journeys, trying to be useful.
This series has an animation in 1997 and the new animation in 2016. One thing about Guts is he is a well-known mercenary, born from the corpse of his mother. Guts has a weird way of living his life, if you look at it from a different point of view. His love, if I may say, for the battlefield is so strong that it lives up as the only way of survival to him. Guts doesn’t mind putting his life on a line, neither shedding blood.
Griffith, the leader of Band of the Hawk, which is an excellent troop of mercenaries, recruits Guts. Guts’ skills prove to be rather useful, very useful to the point he climbed up the ranks like it was nothing. Due to that, Guts slowly figures out that the world is not so grey after all.
17 years ago, the first Ajin appeared in Africa, mysteriously immortal humans. Due to their overpowered nature, they are rendered as a threat to mankind, thus eliminating them is the key to survival. Normal humans think Ajin just might use their powers for evil and world control.

Luckily, an organization named Fenrir formed a troop as a last resort to survive these man-eaters. They go using God Eaters, a special ability infused in humans with Oracle cells.
It allows them to wield God Arc, the only weapon known to kill the Aragami.
Out of the blue, parasitic aliens landed on Earth, quickly tapping into their systems, boring into vulnerable brains.
These parasitic aliens get all hands on deck, controlling their host, morphing into a variet of forms in order to feed on preys.
That’s the case of the sixteen-year-old Shinichi Izumi, he, too, falls into these parasites’ traps.
However, Shinichi is not as vulnerable as any other target, as this parasite resides in his hand instead. In order to survive, this parasite named Migi, relies completely on Shinichi to survive.

What happens when both sides seem legit and caring of people to you? Night Raid, a well-known assassination branch of the Revolutionary Army, tries to overthrow the Prime Minister Honest. His greed for power corrupted him completely, to the point Night Raid wants to get rid of him at all costs.
The nation, without a strong leader, lives in poverty, strife and ruin. To change that, the experienced killers of Night Raid, put their lives at stake in taking out anyone and anything, mercilessly at that, which stands in their way. Tatsumi, a naïve boy from a remote village, goes out his way to help out in Night Raid’s ideals. Yet, his journey may not be as easy as he thought.

These creatures rip through human flesh to please their appetites, but it never seems enough. They are known as” Kabane”, and the only way to kill them dead is by destroying their steel coated hearts. Yet, one bite from the Kabane, and you turn into a zombie just like them.
Humanity, what was left of it, built a massive wall to protect themselves from the hordes of Kabane. These giant fortresses are heavily-armored, guarded and the only way in is using trains. Little did they know that creating a deadly weapon against Kabane would be tested sooner rather than later.
Pumped for Shingeki no Kyojin, well, that just might be for the deaths and gore it has, you little, nasty thing!
