The award-winning light novel of Kobashiri Kakeru gets an anime adaptation starting from April 2017!
The story portrays a tiny, young witch named Zero and her adventures, as she helps a half-beast mercenary. In order to do that, Zero promises the half-beast to turn him into his original human self with. Thus, the two of them go on a journey to redeem the “Book of Zero”, which was stolen. The book, seemingly, possesses such a huge power, to the point of it breaking the world apart. The series will be one of the most anticipated anime of 2017, especially since the light novel won Grand Prize at the 20th annual Dengeki Novel Awards in 2014.
The same studio will be responsible for the adaptation, that of Steins; Gate, Re:Zero- Starting Life in Another World, and Matoi the Sacred Slayer. On the other hand, the directing will be done by Hirakawa Tetsue, the director of Kawa No Hikari; Hori-san to Miyamura-kun.
Concerning the cast, Hanamori Yumiri, the voice actor of Gin Minowa from Yuki Yuna is a Hero, serves as witch Zero. Whereas Koyama Tsuyushi, the voice of Orga from ‘Akame ga kIll!’ voices the beast mercenary. In addition to other cast members like Taichi You, Koyasu Takehito, and Kayou Masayuki.
As a preparation for the upcoming premiere, the internet radio station Onsen will be streaming a nouvelle show called Zero no Sho Radio. The first broadcast will be on April 8th, having Hinamori, Taichi, and Koyama as guests. These said guests will also be there in AnimeJapan 2017, which is dated on Mar. 23 to Mar. 26.
The anime series Zero kara Hajime Mahou no Sho airs on April 10th, 2017.
