Top 10 Seinen Anime of All Time!

Seinen anime’s first aim lies in them designed for young adult men, but, now, everybody can watch it. Today, we’ve brought you a short list of Seinen anime of our choice that might be to your liking. Now, some of the names might be familiar to you, and some might not be. They all, however, fall under the genre and tag of Seinen.

  1. Black Bullet

A parasitic virus known as Gastrea dives into the bodies of human beings and infects them, turning them into monsters. All of this is happening in the year 2021. In order to survive, the rest of mankind lives inside the Monolith walls. These Monolith walls stand due to Varanium, the only material that harms Gastrea.

To counterattack this threat of Gastrea, an organization, The Tendo Civil Security, rises with its special weapon Cursed Children, females whose bodies contain a bit of the virus. These traces of the virus grant them special powers and superhuman abilities. Their partners are called Promoters, and these people guide and protect the young Initiators.

  1. Bangou Stray Dogs

For quite some time, Atsushi Nakajima’s orphanage has been suffering from attacks by a mysterious tiger. The poor 18-year-old boy is suspected to be the doer, thus, resulting in kicking him out. This act leaves him hungry, poor, and homeless.  Wandering alone in that state, Atsushi goes to a riverbank where he meets his fate.

The boy helps a suicide enthusiast and supernatural detective, Osamu Dazai, from drowning. Dazai has been looking into the same tiger that terrorized the city. With his partner Doppo Kunikida, Dazai solves the mystery, leaving, again, Atsushi in a tight spot. With that, he join the two men in their journey.

  1. Tokyo Ghoul Root A

Kaneki Ken finally accepts the two sides of himself—the human side and the ghoul side. His fear of that part of himself disperses. Then, he joins the same organization he was running away from, the one that tortured him to death—Aogiri Tree. His friends, due to that, question him and his loyalty.

The government and the ghouls still have tensions, in fact, it keeps rising. The government’s specialized anti-ghoul agency, The Commission of Counter Ghoul, intensified its efforts to vaporize every last ghoul out there. Due to that, Kaneki is faced with more difficulties, ones he never imagines before.

  1. Mushishi

The word Mushi represents the most basic life forms in the world. They are creatures that exist without goals or purposes aside from just ‘being.’ These creatures do not fit in with good or evil. Mushi exist in multiple forms and they have the ability to mimic things from the natural world, such as plants, diseases, and even rainbows.

Not much, however, provides much knowledge about these creatures, since most people do not know of their existence in the world of Mushishi. Scientists want to know more about these creatures and the so-called Mushishi.

 

  1. Hellsing

Hellsing is an organization that specializes in dealing with supernatural threats. One day, it is called to exterminate a vampire who’s turning the villagers of Cheddar into ghouls. To end this once and for all, the leader or this organization, Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, sends her most valuable asset. She sends the powerful vampire Alucard.

Alucard, with a single gun, wreaks havoc on the monsters plaguing Cheddar. He had it under control, but a young police officer, Seras Victoria, gets caught up in the chaos and gets wounded. Alucard, pitying her, gives her two choices, die or become a vampire!

  1. Btoom!

Ryouta Sakamoto’s life is about to change tremendously. Previously, he lived with his mother, excelling only at an online game called Btoom! His life changes once he finds himself presumably alone and stranded on an island in the middle of nowhere. Another change pursues him, as his left hand is embedded with a green crystal.

Much to his dismay, someone decided to recreate the game in real life and it’s life or death! The players are armed with bombs, unique ones called BIM. To obtain their green crystals, too, as a proof of victory, they must kill seven of their fellow participants. Ryouta, now, is forced to fight once he learns the bitter truth about the other participants.

  1. Gangsta.

Nicholas Brown and Worick Arcangelo, the two protagonists, live and know the city of Ergastalum. They are the Handymen, mercenaries for hire, willing to take on jobs no one else dares to. Powerful mob syndicates as well as the police hire the Handymen and they take it on.

Yet, they meet with Alex Benedetto after killing a local pimp, a prostitute also they had to kill, and they do their best to protect her.Twilights, super-human beings, born as a result of a special drug, now, face a situation, them hunted down by an underground organization. This new threat shakes up the city like crazy, rendering the two protagonists deal with it.

  1. Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu

Abruptly, aliens or rather parasitic aliens invaded the earth and everything people knew before changed, their conceptions, their beliefs. These aliens infiltrated humanity, living and borrowing the brains of vulnerable people. They take the wheel and control you fully with the ability to morph into various forms to feed on people.

However, that is not the case with the sixteen-year-old high school student Shinichi Izumi. He does, indeed, become a victim of a parasite, but it fails to take full control. This parasite, Migi, resides in his hand only instead. It has no choice now but to rely on Shinichi to stay alive. And that’s when the trouble comes.

  1. Boku Dake ga Inai Machi

The life of Satoru Fujinuma has always been that of a tragedy’s. Years ago, one of his friends got kidnapped. Satoru finds himself thrown back in the past after an accident befalls him and his family. In the present, he is 29-year-old manga artist who, now, has the ability to go in the past and correct his mistakes.

This ability Revival is an aftermath of him being accused of a murder he did not commit. Now, he must right his wrongs and he must do it the right way. Or else, he just gets thrown away in the past again and again. Satoru gets thrown back his old self, a kid, a primary schooler.

  1. One Punch Man

At a first glance, Saitama is just an ordinary, unimpressive guy whose hobby is being a hero. For three years, he trained himself harshly to fulfill his childhood dream. In the process, he lost all of his hair. With the three-year intense training, Saitama’s punch alone kills an alien, much less a man. No enemy is able to survive his sole punch, rendering him a one punch man.

Now, Saitama faces boredom, as he finds no worthy opponent. Genos, a 19-year-old cyborg, begs Saitama to teach him. After seeing what he’s capable of, Saitama accepts. Then, Genos proposes the idea of joining the Hero Association, to become heroes, and do some good. This leads to Saitama figuring out that nobody knows who he is, which leads to an agreement.
