The Kakugane user forms a unique Buso Renkin, which means when the medallion is activated, it takes a certain form based on the user. This Kakugane medallion and its Buso Renkin is the only existing weapon to destroy and abolish these homunculus monsters. Together with Tokiko, her own Buso Renkin, Kazuki joins her in the fight against these monsters and their master.
